NEWS: Fourth CircleWaste Validation Workshop Held in Dubrovnik
On 28–29 January, partners of the Interreg IPA Adrion CircleWaste project gathered in Dubrovnik, Croatia, for the fourth Validation Workshop . Over two days, partners reviewed key project results, aligned territorial and transnational actions and strengthened cooperation as the project moves further into its implementation and piloting phase.
The first day opened with a welcome session, followed by presentations on the results of Regional Market Assessments (RMAs) shared with Local Group Workshops. This set the stage for an in-depth discussion on how regional findings are being translated into practical actions at the local level.
A central focus of the day was the presentation of Territorial Action Plans. Partners exchanged feedback on planned measures, implementation frameworks and local priorities, highlighting both common challenges and context-specific solutions across the Adrion region.
In the afternoon, participants were presented with the results of the Transnational Strategy as shared with Local Group Workshops, alongside an overview of the Training Platform contents, designed to support capacity building and knowledge transfer. The day concluded with updates on ICT Platform development and pilot activities, offering insight into technological progress and next steps for testing circular e-waste solutions on the ground.
The second day was dedicated to coordination and governance. The 4th Steering Committee Meeting brought partners together to review project management issues, discuss ongoing activities and align priorities for the upcoming period. The meeting reinforced the importance of close coordination, timely reporting and continued collaboration as CircleWaste advances toward concrete results.
The workshop concluded with a closing session and open discussion, followed by an informal tour of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, providing an opportunity for partners to continue exchanges in a more relaxed setting.
A sincere thank you to all project partners for their active participation and constructive contributions. The fourth Validation Workshop marked another important step in strengthening the e-waste circular economy across the Adrion region and sustaining the shared vision that drives CircleWaste forward.
